You Give Love a Bad Name

The Westboro Baptist Church has got to go. Attention may be the last thing that they need, but the fact of the matter is that as long as they exist, Christians will be judged by their actions. Their very existence is an argument against the legitimacy of the Church. I have had so many heartbreaking conversations with people who think that Christians are hateful, polarizing, and extreme. The love of Christ gets a bad name. I have the answer though. When I am a pastor, I will sue the Westboro Baptist Church. Not for hate speech or anything, but for copyright infringement and slander.

 

Party foul=Sin

Repent! Have you ever been harassed by street preachers or other Christians telling you to repent of your sins or face eternal hellfire and damnation? If so, I'm very sorry. If they seemed hypocritical or unchristian to you, you are probably right. When it comes to sin, there is a lot to say. From a Eubarist perspective though, I think that sin is a lot like a party foul. Obviously sin is a bigger deal, but hey, party fouls are a big deal to some people.

Our Mother, Who Art in Heaven

Happy Mother's Day! If you exist, thank a mother. If you are a mother, thank you for bringing more beautiful, mysterious, and lovable human beings into the world for me to meet. Mothers deserve gifts every day of the year, which is why children should always try to be a blessing to their mothers. But a little something special is definitely in order once in a while. After all, motherhood is a divine vocation.
